Asansol Chapter is one of the most vibrant chapter of Eastern India Regional Council of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India.This chapter had completed 37 years of yeomen service by imparting oral coaching classes for Foundation , Intermediate and Final courses of Cost Accountancy. It caters to the professional needs of Raniganj,
Asansol, Burnpur, Kulti,Barakar and Maithon towns. As on date it has more than 160 qualified members working in senior positions in multifarious industries. In recognition to the excellent services renderd, Asansol Chapter was bestowed with Best Chapter Award for last 9 consecutive years i.e. 2004 to 2012 in Eastern Region by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.

Institute of Cost Accountants of India-Asansol Chapter

The chapter organized its Annual Seminar-2016 on Sunday the 4^th December, 2016 at Diponi, Bharti Bhawan, Burnpur. The topic for the seminar was “ECONOMIC REFROMS THROUGH GST”. The seminar was inaugurated by CMA Manas Kumar Thakur, President ICAI, Shri A.M. Marathe, Director (Finance), ECL, Shri K.S. Patro, Director (Personnel), ECL, CMA Bibekananda Mukhopadhyay, Chairman, EIRC of ICAI and CMA Rambabu Pathak, Chairman, ICAI-Asansol Chapter.

The speakers for the technical session were CMA Shailendra Saxena, Management Consultant and CMA BB Chakrabarti, Ex-Professor of Finance, IIM Calcutta. The deliberations made by the speakers focused on how GST will bring about Economic Reforms in India.

The Annual Seminar saw a huge participation from members, students and industry delegates. Delegates from ECL, BCCL, ISP-SAIL, BSCL, DPL, Dhanbad Chapter, Durgapur Chapter, Ranchi Chapter etc. participated in the seminar. Practitioners in and around Asansol, Raniganj, Durgapur, Dhanbad etc also participated in the seminar. 4 CPE hours were awarded to the members of the Institute. Print media in and around Asansol covered the mega event.
